It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Terry Rutter. Terry died aged 81 years on
9th March 2025 at home with wife Jeanette and older son Dorian present while younger son
Carleton was on the phone. He died from a Gastric Neuroendocrine Tumour with Liver Metastasis.
He was a loving husband to Jeanette; a devoted dad to Dorian and Carleton; a dear father-in-law to
Nadège; a loving granddad to Isabelle and Jack; a good friend to Aaron, Isabelle’s partner; a great
brother-in-law; a loving uncle and great uncle; and a loyal friend to many people. He is sadly
missed by Jeanette, Dorian, Carleton, Nadège, Isabelle, Jack, Aaron, his three sisters-in-law, his
brother-in-law, his seven nephews and nieces and their respective partners, his nine great nephews
and great nieces and their respective partners, former colleagues, and his friends.
Pain is temporary; love is forever. We will all remember the many happy memories that with shared
with Terry. Thank you very much for everything you did for all of us. Thank you for your kindness.
Thank you for all of the laughs! Thank you for being you. Your parents were very proud of you and
we are very proud of you.
The funeral service will take place at St Giles Church, Sheldon on Tuesday 22nd April 2025, at
10:30 hours. This will be followed by a committal service at Yardley Crematorium at 12:15 hours.
Thereafter refreshments at St Giles Church Hall.

On Saturday 7th June 2025, Jack, grandson of Terry, will take part in a tandem skydive
in memory of his granddad. Jack, together with his parents Carleton and Nadège,
aim to raise as much money as possible to support the amazing work of Marie Curie.
During the last few weeks of Terry's life, Marie Curie nurses provided phenomenal
support for Terry. They were professional, very helpful, funny, and, above all, very caring.
Please help Marie Curie to continue its work to support people who are terminally ill.
