This DVD is part 2 of a special 18-DVD series by Discovery Films recording the coastline of the entire British Isles at the start of the 21st century.
We visit Folkestone and Dover where we explore the military tunnels and gun placements beneath those famous White Cliffs of Dover. The Bleriot memorial and Dover Castle are included, as are views of the white cliffs from an inbound French ferry.
We take a ride along the longest pleasure pier in the world at Southend-on-Sea before journeying northwards to Clacton-on-Sea, Walton-on-the-Naze and Felixstowe, where we see shipping bound for the Baltic and the West Indies.
Delightful Snape Maltings, Aldeburgh and Southwold are next, followed by Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth. Turning westwards we visit Cromer, Wells-next-the-Sea, Hunstanton and Kings Lynn by the Wash. Boston is our last stop before arriving at Skegness.
The DVD generally encompasses most of the coastline of the route set out, with occasional stops to highlight places of interest, or to take in some exceptional views.
The British Isles is a geographical term denoting the group of islands including Great Britain (England, Scotland, Wales (Cymru), and Northern Ireland), Ireland, and all of the smaller isles and islands surrounding them.
This is an archive DVD that we continue to sell because of its popularity.
This is a brand new shrink-wrapped DVD which we, as the copyright holder and producer of the DVD, duplicated and which we sell on our site.
